The tour starts from Delhi where you will see the national monuments including UNESCO World Heritage Sites of Red Fort and Humayun’s tomb. Visit Lutyen’s Delhi, shop at Connaught Place and Delhi Haat and round of the day at India Gate. The next day drive to the pink city of Jaipur and see the mesmerizing hawa mahal, Amber Fort and Nahargarh fort. No visit to Jaipur is complete without shopping and after buying the local art and crafts, clothes and jewellery, enjoy folk music and dances. Next, proceed to Agra to see the world-famous Taj Mahal, Fatehpur Sikri and Agra Fort. Return to Delhi for end of tour.
Day – 1 (DELHI – JAIPUR (255 KMS/ 5 HOURS DRIVE))
On arrival at Delhi airport will drive straight to Jaipur. This 5 hours journey will be with a stop over for refresh and snacks at midway restaurant. Afternoon on arrival in Jaipur, check-in at the hotel. Evening enjoy we shall enjoy a theme dinner at Chokhi Dhani an ethnic theme village. Post dinner back to hotel for night stay.
Jaipur is the capital city of Rajasthan also known as the “Pink City” because of the pink colored buildings in its old city. It is situated on a dry lake-bed in a somewhat arid landscape, surrounded by barren hills surmounted by forts and crenellated walls. Founded in 1727 by Maharaja Jai Singh II, who was careful to cultivate good favor with the ruling Mughals, he laid out the city with rectangular blocks according to ancient Hindu architecture.
Day – 2 (JAIPUR SIGHTSEEING)
Morning proceed for an excursion to UNESCO heritage Amber fort. Amber is a classic, romantic Rajasthani fort Palace. A major attraction at Amber is the elephant ride all the way up to the fort entrance. Afternoon proceed for a guided tour of Jaipur city visiting the Maharaja’s City Palace & the Jantar Mantar, which is the largest stone and marble crafted observatory in the world. Overnight stay at hotel.
Day – 3 (JAIPUR – AGRA VIA FATEHPUR SIKRI (265 KMS/ 5.5 HOURS DRIVE))
Morning depart Jaipur surface for Agra enroute visiting Fatehpur Sikri enroute. Fatehpur Sikri built by Emperor Akbar in 1569 and abandoned after 15 years due to scarcity of water. Upon arrival in Agra, check-in at the hotel. Afternoon proceed for a guided tour of Agra city visiting Agra fort, with magnificent halls of private and public audiences and other palaces. Overnight stay at hotel.
Day – 4 (AGRA – DELHI (206 KMS, 3.5 HRS))
Morning proceed for a guided tour visiting the beautiful monument, Taj Mahal (Closed on Friday) built by Mughal emperor Shah Jahan in the loving memory of his queen Mumtaz Mahal to enshrine her mortal remains. Afternoon depart Agra by surface for Delhi. Upon arrival in Delhi, transfer to the airport to board the flight for onward destination.
