Camel Breeding Farm

The Camel Breeding Farm is located at Jorbeer which is 8 Kilometers away from Bikaner. The National Research Center on Camel has been established by the Indian Council of Agriculture Research.

Gajner Palace

Often called as ‘the incomparable jewel of the Thar’ the Gajner Place is one of the most lavish and exquisite palaces of the state. In earlier times, the palace was the summer resort for the Maharajas. The palace has been constructed with beautiful red sandstone and the jharokas and the pillars of the palace are outstanding.

Devi Kund Sagar

Devi Kund Sagar is the cremation place of the Bikaner maharajas. The Maharajas, their wives and other family members have been cremated here and the cenotaphs are a memory of the 22 Saties in the ruling family. There is also a cenotaph of one Sata which is the name given to a Male Sati (who died on the pyre of his wife).

Lakshmi Nath Temple

Lakshmi Nath Temple has a significant importance for the city of Bikaner because it is the oldest temple of this city. It is stated that the foundation of the city was laid from here in 1488 A.D. by Rao Bikaji. The idols of Goddess Lakshmi and Lord Vishnu stand blessing the city with prosperity and happiness. Therefore, the temple is a sacred place of reverence for the natives as well as the visitors.
