The seven day Kashmir tour takes you to explore Srinagar, the capital of Jammu and Kashmir, a state which is literally considered to be heaven on earth because of its ethereal natural beauty. You have an opportunity to stay in a house boat on the Dal lake. The tour includes a ride on the lake in a shikara and a visit to the famous Mughal Gardens, including Shalimar Gardens, and Chasma Shahi or the royal springs built by Mughal emperor Shah Jahan. You will also visit Gulmarg, the skiing capital of India. The rolling meadows and the springs add a touch of magic to the surrounding valleys. Visit Pahlgam, also known as valley of Shepherds. Day – 1 (Arrive Srinagar)
On arrival at Srinagar airport you will be met by our representative followed by transfer to your pre-booked accommodation (Hotel / House Boat); Check in and out for Shikara ride in stunningly beautiful Dale Lake. Witness the magnificent surrounding of snow covered Himalayas, age old House Boat, end no of Shikara’s. Evening back to hotel / House boat for dinner and overnight stay.
Day – 2 (Srinagar)
Morning post breakfast proceed to a full day tour of Srinagar beautiful Mughal gardens. Nishat Garden and Shalimar Bagh; these are the two most beautiful & historical gardens of Srinagar. Nishat Garden – facing the beautiful Dale Lake this is a joy of every travelers. Shalimar Garden is the most beautiful garden in Kashmir built by Mughal Empire.
Later visit Chasma Shahi – one of the major tourist attractions of Srinagar. Chasma Shahi means the royal springs built by Mughal emperor Shah Jahan.
Optional visit to Shankaracharya Temple, located at the top of a hill in Srinagar gives stunning view of Srinagar. This temple was built by Raja Gopadatya therefor initially this temple was also known as Gopadari. It was built in 371 BC.
Today evening you may opt to go for a quick shopping tour in Srinagar local market
Day – 3 (Srinagar – Pahalgam )
This morning post breakfast check out and drive to Pahalgam which is 96 km’s from Srinagar also known as valley of Shepherds; situated at an altitude of 2130 mtr from sea level and is the base for many trekking routes. En-route we visit Saffron fields, Awantipora Temple Ruins (dedicated to Lord Vishnu).The stone pillars are carved with different Hindu Goddess, 9th century Awantipora was Capital of Kashmir. Also pay a visit to Mattan Temple with its holly fish’s spring. We continue drive to Pahalgam; once reached Pahalgam check in at hotel. Later go for a walking tour around your hotel and mall road of Pahalgam. Visit the local market. Dinner and overnight stay at hotel.
Day – 4 (Pahalgam)
Today morning post breakfast proceed to a day excursion for either Betaab valley or Aru village. (Please note because of heavy snow falls roads of these areas are remain closed occasionally. In-case it remain closed you will have to enjoy the day at within Pahalgam area)
Pahalgam – the most beautiful valley along with the Lidder River running through it makes it even more picturesque. The river is one of the favorite spots for trout fishing in the country. Rafting is also organized at this river. Amidst of Pahalgam there is a very old and charming park namely “Club Park” which is usually full of visitors, specifically on weekends. The garden blends perfectly with its surrounding hills and river running nearby and looks more like a naturally created garden
If weather is clear you may visit to Aru Village or Betaab valley; Aru village is around 12 km from Pahalgam. It is a beautiful village, visited by far lesser tourists and is more peaceful than Pahalgam. Some scenes from the film ‘Jaab Tak Hai Jaan,’ were shot here. White driving from Pahalgam to Aru you will witness some of most picturesque viewpoints.
Or visit to Betaab Valley – 15 km from Pahalgam town and is one of the most beautiful valleys around Pahalgam. The valley is become famous and named after the popular Bollywood film, Betaab. Evening back to hotel; dinner and overnight stay at hotel
Day – 5 (Pahalgam – Gulmarg )
Today morning post breakfast check out and drive to Gulamrg; Today we will be covering the most longest route of your itinerary; It will take about 5 hours while you will be driving though hilly and scenic terrain of Kashmir valley. Also known as meadow of flowers Gulmarg is the prime place of Skiing in Kashmir. Gulmarg is one of the best hill stations in the world, which is also India’s premier Ski resort in winter and also has world’s highest golf course. Once you arrive check in at hotel and take much needed rest at hotel; Dinner and overnight stay at hotel.
Day – 6 (Gulmarg)
Today morning post breakfast proceed to enjoy cable car ride (Gondola ride) to have the breathtaking view of snow covered Himalaya. The Gondola cable car offers rides to the upland meadows of kongdori and beyond to the top of Apharwat range to a height of 14000 ft for viewing the Himalayan peaks in summer and for downhill skiing in winters. Dinner and overnight stay at hotel.
Day – 7 (Gulmarg – Srinagar)
Morning post breakfast check out and drive to Srinagar airport to board flight for onward journey.
