05 nights 06 days – Glimpses of Rajasthan


Tour Details

The 18 day tour takes you to visit the best of Rajasthan, the royal princely state with its rich architectural and cultural heritage. The tour begins at Delhi where you will go to see major monuments such as Red Fort, Jama Masjid, Humayun Tomb, and savor the culinary delights of Old Delhi. Next proceed to Jaipur or the Pink city with its ancient forts and havelis and the endless shopping, folk dances and more. Finally, visit Ajmer famous for the Dargah of Moinuddin Chishti and then drive to the holy city of Pushkar to see the famous Brahma Temple. And if you are visiting during November, you can also visit the famous Pushkar camel fair that attracts visitors from the world over.

Rajasthan is a northern Indian state bordering Pakistan. Its palaces and forts are reminders of the many kingdoms that historically vied for the region. In its capital, Jaipur (the “Pink City”), is the 18th-century City Palace and Hawa Mahal, a former cloister for royal women, fronted by a 5-story pink-sandstone screen. Amer Fort, atop a nearby hill, was built by a Rajput prince in the early 1600s.

Itinerary

Day – 1 (Arrival Delhi)

On arrival at Delhi airport meet and greet by India Highlight Representative followed by transfer to your pre-booked hotel in the city. Delhi is the capital city of India which is being governed by many dynasties before it finally got independent from British on 15th Aug 1947. Mughal’s have ruled India for the longest period before British East India Company took the power in 1747. Therefore we can see two different sides of Delhi such as New Delhi basically the Lutyens Delhi which was majorly developed during British period & post-independence of India, where-as Old Delhi got heritage look as it has the reflection of Mughal rulers.
Overnight stay at the hotel.

Day – 2 (Delhi full day tour)

This morning post breakfast at staying hotel we proceed to a full day tour of Delhi starting with Heritage part of the city first. In Old Delhi we will visit Jama Masjid, Red Fort also locally known as Lal (Red) Quila (Fort), enjoy a rickshaw ride through Chandni Chowk – a typically Mughal style market-based in Old Delhi near Jama Masjid, Raj Ghat – the Gandhi memorial.
Lunch will be at a city restaurant, Delhi is famous for mouthwatering food. There are so many restaurants with local and western flavour, you may choose according to your taste.
Post Lunch we visit New Delhi – this tour will include a visit to Qutub Miner, Humayun’s Tomb, Lotus Temple, drive past through India Gate & President house. Also if time permits we visit Akshar Dham temple.
Evening back to Hotel for overnight stay

Day – 3 (Delhi – Jaipur)

Post breakfast at hotel we check out and drive to Jaipur also known as Pink city of Rajasthan. The uses of color pink in the street, monuments, and markets areas derive the name as Pink city. Jaipur is the hub of rich heritage culture of Rajasthan which is being rules many dynasties and left with numerous and unmatchable life style, culture, works, palaces, monuments etc.

We drive though Delhi Jaipur highway which will take approx. 5 hours to reach Jaipur hotel with a stopover in midway restaurant for lunch. On arrival at Jaipur get checked in at your heritage / contemporary hotel and take much needed rest. Overnight stay at hotel

Day – 4 (Jaipur)

Today early morning after our breakfast we leave for most exciting Elephant ride at Amber Fort. While riding an Elephant we reach magnificent Amber Fort which was built by … from the Fort once can see the long tail of massive fort which was built to protect the city. From fort, we drive to the city for a full day tour which includes a visit to Nahargarh Fort, Jal Mahal (Not allowed to go inside), Hawa Mahal, City Palace, Jantar Mantar and in the evening local market of Jaipur.
Evening back to hotel for overnight stay

Day – 5 (Jaipur – Ajmer – Pushkar)

Today morning after breakfast check out and drive to Ajmer followed by the drive to Pushkar. Ajmer is about 120 km from Jaipur and well known for the Dargah of Moinuddin Chishti also known as Ajmer Sharif Dargah. After visiting Dargah we drive to Holy city Pushkar – where Hindus from across the world come to pray at the famous Brahma Temple.

Day – 6 (Pushkar – Gurgaon – Delhi IGI Airport )

Today morning post breakfast check out and drive to Delhi airport which will take approx. 6 hour’s drive. The vehicle will stop at a midway restaurant for lunch.
